Film project Kapa selected for the prestigious scriptwriting workshop Cinekid Script LAB

Cinekid Script LAB is a six-month screenwriting workshop for film projects intended for children’s audiences, which takes place under the auspices of the most important film event for young audiences, Cinekid. Twelve film projects from all over Europe have been selected for this year’s program, which will receive individual mentoring from renowned film experts in the field of screenwriting and development of film content for the youngest film audience.

The workshop starts in October as part of the Cinekid festival in Amsterdam and ends in February at the Berlin Film Festival.

Among the twelve projects, the Slovenian project Kapa by screenwriter Saša Eržen was also included. The film tells about a boy who has nothing and a girl who has everything and their Christmas adventure, when all their wishes come true in one night, but not in the way they expected.

The producer of the film is Ida Weiss, and it will be directed by Slobodan Maksimović (Nika). Filming is planned for winter 2019.

In 2017, the project also participated in the screenwriting workshop Scenarnica, organized by the Association of Slovenian Directors.

The development of the project is supported by the Slovenian Film Center.
