As part of the 20th Documentary Film Festival, the premiere of the documentary film “PETER VS. HARRY’.
The film portrays German-Slovenian musician, cinematographer, screenwriter and director Petar Braatz, who sometimes goes by the name Harry Rag, although he’s not sure what “harry rag” (beyond the title of The Kinks’ hit) even means. Braatz, who as the lead singer of S.Y.P.H. emerged within the German punk scene of the late 1970s and 1980s, he is above all a documentarian whose works were often misunderstood and rejected; colleagues and friends, as well as family members and like-minded people, talk about his work and life in front of the camera.
At 7:00 p.m. on the same day, Maja Weiss’ full-length documentary “MY WAY 50 – BETWEEN THE SEEK AND THE FOUND WORLD” will also premiere. The premieres of both films mark 20 years of operation of the production company Bela Film, which produced most of the works of Maja Weiss and participated in many films by Petr Braatz.
