KAPA presents itself at the Cinekid co-production market in Amsterdam and the Warsaw Children’s Film Forum

Last month, the children’s feature-length project Kapa was successfully presented at the Warsaw Kids Film Forum, the first international film event in Poland dedicated exclusively to children and youth audiences. Next week, the film will also be presented at the prestigious Cinekid Junior Production Market, which will be held in Amsterdam between October 21 and 23. The Kapa project was selected from more than a hundred applications among 12 projects that will be presented to an international audience of financiers, exhibitors, distributors and sales agents.

Kapa tells the story of a boy who has nothing and a girl who has everything and their Christmas adventure when all their wishes come true in one night, but not in the way they expected. The producer of the film is Ida Weiss, and it will be directed by Slobodan Maksimović (Nika) based on the script by Saša Eržen. Filming is planned for winter 2020/21.

The film is being made with the support of the Slovenian Film Center, the Viba film film studio, Programa Media and the Re-Act development scheme.

In 2017, the project also participated in the screenwriting workshop Scenarnica, organized by the Society of Slovenian Directors, and in 2018 it was developed at the screenwriting workshop Cinekid Script LAB.
